How Do I Know Which Xbox 360 Is The Latest Model?

I’d like to finally purchase an XBox 360, but how do I know which one is the latest model when I go into a store?
I’ve heard that the new 360′s have improved heat sinks which reduces failure rates. Is this true?

    The Elite doesn’t have the Jasper chip, so don’t bother with it.
    The arcade and premium have Jasper chips. The only way to find out if has a Jasper chip is to look through the slot where the serial number is. Then try to move the 360 around a little bit until you can see 12,1 A.

    i think the newest one is the elite model. with which they have solved the red ring of death issue, but i think has some other error problem, but that doesnt happen as often as the red ring of death was, id say go with the elite
