How Do I Get Advertizements On My Xbox 360?

I have xbox live and I want advertisements so i know when theres new downloadable content and stuff, and i’ve seen on other peoples 360′s they have addvertisements on the dashboard. Any help?

    Is your xBox live account a child account?
    because I don’t think child accounts get advertisements.
